If you are 65 or older, you may be eligible for coverage from 10 to 100 percent from The Alberta Seniors Dental Benefits Program. This is dependant on your income level. Every Five Years
Boviz Denture Clinic recommends replacing dentures every five years. Most insurance companies will cover replacement cost at this time. We suggest having a reline every two years and recall every year to ensure good oral health.
Boviz Denture Clinic will send a pre-authorization to your insurance company via regular mail or DACnet (online) to find out what costs your provider will cover. Patients with Alberta Blue Cross can have their pre-authorization called in by our receptionist. The calls usually take around five minutes. Pre-Authorizations by mail can take up to three to four weeks depending on the insurance company.
Once the Pre-Authorization is received, we can determine the patient’s cost. We will incorporate this into your treatment plan. Some companies will send the Pre-Authorization directly to you. Please call us so we can finalize your treatment plan.
Starting the Treatment
After the Pre-Authorization is received and the treatment plan is confirmed, we can start the work. A deposit totaling half the amount is due prior to treatment. The remainder will be collected once the procedure is complete.
Claims will be sent the same way as pre-authorizations if the insurance carrier is on our direct billing list. If your insurance carrier is not listed then please fill out a standard claim form. Make sure the form is signed and sent to the company by mail. It can take up to three or four weeks for a response. If you do not wish to wait, you have the option of paying the amount up front and letting the insurance company reimburse you.
Insurance companies that do direct billing:
